I think you would have to be very careful about the vessels' lateral stability if you manage to lift the stern out of the water, wouldn't risk it in anything other than a flat calm.
Hovercrafts seem to manage to float quite well on a bag of air and they deliberately let it leak out!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif They manage to trasnport a couple of hundred cars on the bag also!!!
fair enough. plenty of room for the survey which he has started BUT of course if in somewhere where no cranes well then maybe it wd have to be used - the survey has only been on peeps with easy crane access.
Then good space for calcs about buoyancy needed, and amount of air needed and ho long to blwo it up or maybe miss that bit....but at least no horrid ball bearing calcs which always end up needing a flipin massive and expensive ball bearing instead of the crap on most cars and bikes.
Finally of course, nice drawings or even photomockup.
that sort of thing is fine to just get the thing out the water, against barnacles.
Note that that website is only for up to 36 footers - after which the sizes get massive - the weight of the boat increases far more than linearly with length.
Also note - it's just about clear of the water - not "jacked up" which twd need to be to work on the props.
