Go away! The old man club! I was 60 last month, and I'm in late middle age, thank you! There is nothing that with a little care I cannot do now that I could do at 20, maybe not so far, maybe not so often, but all the same things can be achieved.

I realise the clock is running in a way I didn't 10 or 15 years ago, I realise the percentages against death and illness are working against me. All these things I know, but life is for living and I'm not prepared to give up just yet. The last few years have not been great, to admit the next few might not be would be too hard to consider.

Not just Asian. Sister in laws Cousin, (not so far removed), lost house and contents in Sri Lanka, house guests washed away but later recovered alive. All very lucky to be alive.

Moderation in all things. Chips when eating out, fried breakfast only when in sight of a cafe, swear only when brick drops on foot, watch a dirty movie but be faithful, a little wine and good conversation. Sure, I'm a boring old fart.

Quit bitching.There are thousands of parents mourning the death of their infants after a major natural disaster and you are so self absorbed that you worry about a decade?

[/ QUOTE ]

We are not bitching....just having fun banter, its good to lose oneself in another world when this one at the moment is providing nothing but grief!

And although there is nothing we can do with the forces out of our control, I am sure we all here sympathise of the current tragedy and contribrute not only to the current disaster, but also for the innocent family's and children whom were maimed by US / British gunfire and misiles in Iraq.

Dare you !!!
To have a second birthday in the summer. I promise, if you give us notice, to join you to celebrate, bearing suitable gifts.
Please avoid June & July.
Now, presents for an over 50:
Grecian 2000; Senatogen wine; Philosan plus; walking stick; zimmer frame for practice; two French maids - to test your imagination;
Further suggestions / ideas available. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

oh don't be so miserable, and try using another phrase instead of "old people". Such as, um, Wrinklies, nearly-deads, coffin-kickers or PCF's (potential cemetry fertiliser).

hope this helps.

Yep Cheers.....Spose you are as young as you feel (or should I dare say the woman!)/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. The one thing I have noticed though, is how easy it is to put on weight as one gets older /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
