What a bummer! January I'll be bloody 50 /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I quite liked being in my forty's now I'm about to be a member of the old man club, not if I have anything to do with it! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Glad you added the bit in bold type. I'm in my 60s and certainly don't consider myself a member of that club. It's how you FEEL that matters. Cheer up Dave. Have a HAPPY Hogmanay!.

Thanks for the shoulder Rabbie...although I agree with you on 'its how old you feel' I think its probably all in the mind, but you have to agree 50 is a big number. In my fortys I still felt like a teenager now its like being 21!
Late fifties and still up a tall ship mast in a F9. Come along lad , keep up and don't let them 30 somethings grind you down /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Me too, Dave, 4 weeks on Saturday so you have my sympathies. It's not even a good time of the year to have a party on the boat. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
don't worry I was 53 yesterday! your as old as you feel,
I feel like an 18 year old..........But I can't find one willing.......
If you keep your weight down, keep very active, don't smoke, cut out fried breakfast, go to church, don't swear, only drink in moderation, and be faithful....!..............................You will end up being a.........................Boring old fart!!!!!!!!
LOL......like it Steve, It was only today when the wife and myself were discusing about when a diet should take place for the New Year! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Quit bitching. There are thousands of parents mourning the death of their infants after a major natural disaster and you are so self absorbed that you worry about a decade?
Well jim I am sorry that you feel this way, we British have a capacity to give our sincere thoughts to others whilst making light banta it is our way of coping, no matter what is thrown at us........stiff upper lip and all that old chap!
here in the Uk we have big asian communitys some who run local shops, there will be a number of us that will know a local family affected by the disaster as I do here in the North UK we can only give our prayers and support.
Any issues you have with the situation should be directed to the governments who decided not have a early warning system and the Indian government officials who seem to have been in denial of what is happening and slow to react........ Charities and prople in the UK react fast to any crisis......so I think your comments are a little misplaced.
