Dover to Boulogne - Cross channel trip

We really like Boulogne... its one of our family favourite destinations

Boulogne.. If you go to the big church (cathedral?) and go and stand under the centre of the tower/spire, there is the most amazing clever painting on the ceiling, it fools the brain into seeing an endless parallel-sided vertical tube going all the way up to heaven (I presume).
Try the fish market for something interesting to eat, also the supermarket sells tinned horse steak as a change from Fray Bentos..

I don't mean to be personally critical, but on face value, that sounds a little irresponsible to me. I can only assume there are details you have omitted

We used to do it with just a compass and log. Due South of Plymouth easy big numbers on the compass.
