Hi, Sailing into Cowes entrance last Thursday at 1550 First mate and I spotted the unmistakable shape of a dorsal fin and back breaking the surface. I kept my eyes peeled but apart from a brief surface disturbance we saw no more. The Folly launch guy said they sometimes get them up at the folly. Pretty cool......

Saw a seal up by Haslar bridge in Gosport a week last Monday, it was pretty unexpected! I expect like us he was hiding from the F8/9 out in the Solent.

Could it have been a harbour porpoise?
