Very beautiful place to spend the Chirstmas day.

Merry X'mas !!!
Yes it is, I’m very lucky to have such a wonderful cruising ground on my doorstep. France is a very beautiful country but the Mediterranean coast is its jewel in the Crown.
I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas :encouragement:

Sorry MrB ;) but I had to share this of my second mate on seagull duty.

Merry Christmas MrB:encouragement:;):encouragement:

Idyllic photos with your adorable spaniel are more than welcome. Your dog has saved you from a ban, so please post more of him/her. Your cruising ground matters not, it's about pics of the dog :encouragement::D:cool:

Ok, since this thread evolved in a real time cruising pics (sort of), here's a couple of pics taken from the home restaurant where we had lunch today with a couple of friends...

Oh b*gger, I’ve got no data for posting images, If you can try to imagine St Bart’s, at anchor, 30 degrees water and air, and roast turkey in the cockpit to the sound of diving Boobies and crashing waves - that would be about right :)

Oh and we’re parked just around the corner from some major boat porn, Le Grand Bleu, Phoenix 2, Minderella etc...hopefully posting some pics tomorrow when we arrive in St Martin.....

What sound do “diving boobies” make? Splash....splash or wallop.....wallop? :)

We still need your full transat report! :encouragement:

If you'll indulge me with one more, I'm rather pleased with this one, filmed in a long rolling swell with a Go Pro on a pole and with a rail mount. I called it 'Slow Motion Splashdown'.

I was looking at the webcams earlier and it looked quite busy. I even spotted people sitting on the beach. The conditions looked really good too. :encouragement:

This morning was hot and sunny, but a bit of a chilly wind blew after lunch then it warmed up again. Nights are cold but tomorrow is forecast to be spectacular:encouragement:

So I’m doing my afternoon dog walk, and I’m thinking.......

sod the dog. Why am I not on the boat?

This is a little port we walked past. Do you notice the old man playing an electric synthesizer in the cockpit of his boat? His rather good playing added to the unreal atmosphere of today

It was such a lovely day today that we popped over to the island for lunch and a dog walk. Not many restaurants open, next time we will take a picnic. The beaches were all closed off except this one

I think it’s still because of the oil spill but every where looks fine to me. We walked about 12 km because the dog already had a long walk in the morning
Ps expecting a Mistral over the next two days, winds upto 61mph

This is the port of Le Lavandou, such a beautiful winter’s day that we had to go to sea. The weather isn’t predictable enough for long trips but perfect for day outings.

This is the famous beach of St Clair

Not 2018 Med, but 19th January 2019 in Torbay. I was the only one out in the bay, until these beauties turned up.

Apologies for the mobile phone filming and novice editing........
