Do i need an icc for the netherlands?

Thanks, confirms my post

"Official Dutch waterway regulations. Updated every two years. Vessels navigating the waterways are legally required to carry this volume.

Dutch Language.
Issued in March every two years."

as stated earlier its a free down load & acceptable 5to have on lappi rather than a hard copy.
having said that i have been to Holland many times & have never had a copy or even been asked if i had.
i downloaded the 2013 vol 1 last year but didnt go to Holland

really?

My post
"There used to be a rule, that you needed a copy of the Inland Waterways Rules onboard - in Dutch.
Does that still apply?"

Your post
"I don't disagree with the need for acopy of the Dutch water regs"

Perhaps you can explain your noxious rant!

Don't understand your "noxious rant" quote. You seem to be intent on misunderstanding me. You originally asked a question in post 31 which included a quote of post 5. My question was why did you quote that post which contains large quantities of erroneous information. End of. Happy sailing.

If anybody is still interested in posts on a seven year old thread, the WaterAlmanak is actually very useful. Bridge opening times and suchlike often change, rendering advice in the pilots incorrect. Much of the information in the book is tabular and needs no foreign language skills but it doesn't take an awful lot of effort to translate the words that are necessary. The Navin books are quite good but do not pretend to cover the whole canal network, or even all the waterways that a yacht with mast up can cover.

Thank you . Very helpful-well worth the time to post.
By the way I have an ICC (now on my second)just curious as to the received wisdom on here. Oh and I have never been asked for it in going on nine years knocking about the inland waterways.
I do not have an ICC,never been asked since 84.

The vol 1 is on the boat lappi & i cant access that yet to ascertain the file source
