Don´t forget to measure and photograph your turnbuckles before removal so the swager can adjust the lengths of the wire if necessary.

Done 4 sets of DIY rigging on various boats I owned over the years. All still afloat and nothing has fallen down yet!
Usually a combination of Talurit and Norseman type. PBO tested four types of terminal a number of years ago: Swaged came out the best, closely followed by swageless Norseman and Stalock, Talurits came in quite a long way behind - but still well within acceptable limits. The fourth - bulldog clamps as found on steering wires in smaller boats failed almost before their pulling machine had registered the load! Even so I have seen them in use on small boats
