Distance from your boat? (no liveaboards, please)

"About 35 miles - 45 mins on a good run or 1hr 15mins if bad followed by 5 minutes to inflate dinghy and 5 minute row."

You're not trying! I can inflate my dinghy in 2mins 20 seconds.

Oh and 1 hr 10 mins of the loverly A3 / Hayling Island

So you live a long way from both work and boat. That's just perverse!

Gosh. A lot of you travel some distance, don't you? I don't think I could maintain enthusiasm. Especially with work that isn't that easy to plan around

I was thinking about this very thing as i've been reading this thread, I share the boat (and costs) with my brother who lives three miles from it, i'm 2 1/2 hour away... and yet I work 2 miles from Hull Marina, maybe I should just buy another one and keep it there...

63 miles and normally about 1h30mins with traffic - Maidenhead to Southampton (Bitterene)

30 seconds to walk down the pontoon and then sometimes several hours to wait for the water to come back !

I'm now 75 miles and 1h5mins from marina, 30 minutes out to the boat in the dinghy. It used to be that I had to drive past the boat every time I went from home to work.

Now that was sore temptation!

About 30 miles. Assuming the traffic's OK (includes M3 and M27 /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif) the journey takes about 45 minutes - as a local I know most of the back doubles.

From locking the front door at home to casting off from our swinging mooring, takes about an hour and a quarter.
