Differences in HW times

thanks but looking for a list of Ports with relatitive general time differences for HW

eg

St Malo -4.5
St Hellier -4
Carteret - 3
Portsmouth -0.0
Dover +1.0

or something like that

May have to just take a date and do a spreadsheet myself but someone must have published one surely for general passage planning

Reeds gives a HW time difference for many places from HW Dover and other figures ... at least it did when I last bought a copy.

For accurate working of tides you should be using the appropriate standard port times and heights and the differences on that.

Reeds is on the boat. so no forward planning until I set off!!

IIRC if you look up a place it gave you the HW difference to Dover but I cant remember a page listing all the ports and giving their relative differences.

The time differences don't change so you can look them up in last year's, or any old, Reeds ... which ever one you keep at home or in the office

Many people have answered your question.

I would ask why do you want to know this?

There must be a reason and that could help others answer your real question.

For pretty good information you can get last year's REEDS ALMANAC from your local library at about £12 instead of £37. This is a good option as it is relatively up to date.
The tide tables are obviously non-current but these are available on-line. eg Dartmouth, Dover, Cherbourg, St Malo, Brest, Braye, St Helier, Falmouth, Portsmouth.
Been doing this for years. And using Foulkes tide current charts (about 20 years)
