I bought one of these in the cold of last spring in the hope it would keep me dry when working on the Canal and now with Scottish weather back to normal it is in use every day.
Really impressed with it so now it is my favourite when I go sailing too.
Plus points; it is rainproof, never been wet inside it, it is warm but really breathable, the work I do is very physical and it does not make me sweat, it does not shed rain water on to my trousers, the long tail drips directly to ground, the cordura type tail is durable and grippy when I push wet lock swing bars with my bum. The zips are good and the pockets are sensibly placed, accessible but dry. I have not really tried the hood as I prefer a cap but the collar zips right up but still lets you breath and turn your head. Effective seals on the cuffs. Really ergonomic, allowing good freedom of movement when grinding or steering.
Only £80, it puts stuff much more than double the price to shame. Someone has had a good think about the design.
Only two downsides so far after a lot of heavy use, I chose red and it is already looking a bit grubby from continual daily contact with greasy lock gates and new paint. The other is that I have to be careful jumping off my bike, if you are not sitting on the tail it can catch on the seat, though this entertains my spectators.
Really worth a look if you are thinking of a new jacket.
