Eileen went out last night and left me to fend for myself. Now I am not known for my culinary expertise, come to think of it I am not known for any expertise except being a nuisance, I am good at that.... I digress.
So! I had to cook for myself. Before you turn your noses up, try what I had it was delicious.
I took two fresh rolls and filled them amply with Ham. With this I placed on one side some Cabbage and on the other side of the Ham I placed crushed Sprouts. Both the Cabbage and Sprouts having been left overs from Lunch.
Fabulous... I think I will sell the recipe to the Beetle and Wedge, they will pay me thousands and become as famous as MacDonalds and all because of me not being afraid to experiment.

You must try eccles cakes with stilton then
a truly wonderful pudding after such a feast.
can i also reccomend as a drink accompaniament; Diamond White and Red bull (one can to one bottle served in a pint glass) true nectar.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me 'Sir' without adding, 'you're making a scene'.

Try this one very AfroCarribean:-

PEANUT SOUP

Serves 4

2 Large sweet pepper preferably 1 green & 1 red
2 Large onions 1 sliced & 1 finely chopped
4 Heaped tablespoons smooth peanut butter (mixed to a smooth paste)
2-4 Large plum tomatoes chopped
Pinch Black pepper
Pinch White pepper
Pinch Season-all
1 tsp Parsley
1 tsp Thyme
1 tsp Cayenne pepper (more or less to taste)
1 pint Chicken or beef stock
4 Pre cooked chicken pieces or equiv. diced beef or pork

Whiz pepper and small amount of stock in food processor and place in saucepan
and bring to the boil, add rest of stock and simmer for 5 mins.,
Add onion and peanut paste and all other seasoning to taste, then bring to boil.
after 3-5 minutes add tom and meat, optionally add 1 finely diced potatoes to thicken.
Simmer for 5-10 mins. stirring well to avoid sticking.

Eat with either potatoes or rice, freezes well.
