Crew Pickup with Parking

I'm looking for somewhere to pick up a crew member on the Stour or Orwell or close by where he can leave his car for two days. Prefer a jetty pickup rather than use dinghy but can do so if I must. Any ideas?

Royal Harwich if you are stopping for lunch. Just use the hammerheads, no charge and leave car in carpark for a couple of days.

Pick up on the outside pontoon, no need to go through the lock. In fact moor up there for free if using Shipwreck for drink or meal (maybe not).

There is plenty of depth on the opposite side of the pontoon from the lock.

Not sure if things have changed, but quite a few years ago the pontoon was virtually dry at low water. I remember it particularly as our dog decided to go for a 'walk' onto the mud. It took quite a long time to clean him up....

They have dredged that area when they dredged the channel.

No need. If a boat is on the lock side, the ferry berths on the outside. After 6/9 ferry is weekends only,up to 28/9
