The conduit between my outboard and the boat (which holds all the electrical, and fuel lines between the two), is worn out.

Can anyone suggest where I can get a replacement? And what else it may be called as I am having very little success tracing the stuff!

Many thanks
George

G'day George,

And welcome to the forums, The soft plastic cover is available at most industrial electrical outlets, however, in order to fit a new cover you may have to disconnect your electrical wiring.

An alternative is a material called Anaconda, it's spiral conduit, a bit like your phone cord, it can be wound on to protect cables, (Also useful on computer cables).

Hope this helps. . . . .

This is available from RS, Maplin, CPC and most proper electrical shops. They would probably know it as "spiral cable wrap". Great stuff - but make sure that when you cut it to lengths that you don't leave any sharp ends lying around.

Do you know why the original conduit has worn? Its' unusual to "just wear out"
