coming at Aldi and Lidl

I have just measured the current draw of my Lidl (branded Powerfix) calipers.

Switched off - 8.5μA, switched on 9.5μA.

So my 30p LR44 should last a year or so and I should stop worrying about turning it off.

I have just been down the shed to check mine is the same product, it is. I have had it about 3 years and it still has the original battery, with the spare one still in the case.

Fairly sure I had mine before we got Kindred Spirit, so that's six years. Don't remember ever changing the battery. My memory could be faulty and it might have been changed once, but not more than that.
