Mayday....this is Clyde coastguard....Mayday, information notice number 5. Vessel Claymore located 5 miles NE Colonsay, inadvertant activation of 406 EPIRB. All safe and well Rescue helicopter 177 returning to Prestwick Islay and Oban lifeboats returning to station. Jimi's yacht continuing on passage. date time group Friday 8th April 1818 UTC. Clyde Coastguard Out.

All this misuse of the few available radio frequencies has been reported to OFCOM with the recommendation that they withdraw their proposals for free licences.

Suggest new licence fee of £1000 per annum to leave all channels free for the rich.

Click on "User Options" at top of this page. At the bottom of the page you will find a box "Personal Information etc. Click on "Edit" and you will find it there. Just copy then paste in correct URL instead of the present one.

No comm yet from Glen Rosa but then do not expect that a Scottish Rose Garden would have a radio with correct marine channels or to be able to transmit as far as Falmouth, in the wild (South) West.

Is U18 a sunken submarine (ghost) from WWII?
