I've been invited to complete this survey on Facebook but I have to say I don't fully understand some of the questions.
Has anyone else had this enquiry or is it a scam?

I have, but had already completed the survey so when I saw it on Facebook did not click it. What questions did you not understand? I seem to recall there were some that were phrased in a way that didn't really reflect my scenario but I could understand the question and the options.

It’s probably not a scam if it is on the RYA FB feed. The survey came to me via RYA FB, email twice and a link posted somewhere else. The questions are oddly worded and certainly don’t comply with plain English guidelines.

One area that is awkward, is that there are two options, with all the same questions. One option is if you have only one activity, the other option is for the other activities you selected. As far as I could tell the questions were the same. I just answered the first option for both of my activities, dinghy and coastal cruising) as it became a monumental pain and time consuming. Also if you are not a member of a club or other organization, many of the questions were not applicable.

If you are passionate about our sport, pass time in the UK, and believe that the RYA should both protect our activity and encourage others to participate, then it is probably worth plodding through the survey.

Aha! I think I've spotted the problem, I was sent the link by my daughter and just noticed that it starts at question 5.
" On a scale of 0-10, how satisfied are you with your experiences of these activities this year?"
Presumably if I read the previous questions it will make sense!
