CI\'s

Just leafing through my brand new almanac. I diigently read the custome requirements for visits to CI's. Which reminded me again of the formalities.

So what does every one else do??? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Re: CI\'s

Me nothing.

Just fill in the forms when you get in and post them in the little boxat the top of the pontoon.

Give us a ring when you get here.

ArrrGgggg!!

Dearest beloved Dom.

But I am not talking about customs in CI's

I am talking about customs in UK.

Now you are supposed to fill out a form before going. Then a Q flag and another form when you come back. Also supposed to phone customs I think.

Just asking what folk do in practice, unlike me, that always follows the book.

Re: CI\'s

In Dartmouth we do not bother, cos the nearest customs is Plymouth. I asked in the marina office about those forms because I had'nt been to Guernsey for a while, and they said do not bother as Customs had not been in to collect them for years!
Could be differnt in Plymouth though, ask your marina office what happens there.

Re: CI\'s

Do illegal immigrants ask for forms, well ok claims forms for benefits. I got back in to the UK wihtout a passport recently, I had lost it at the airport, but after a visit back to the aircraft to see if it was there, we couldn't find it, they took my word that I was UK citizen. Never asked for proof or anything. & U WERE WITH ME !!! so visiting the channel Islands is nothing to UK customs wud think.
