Want to change our boat for next season. Have in mind Bayliner Ciera 24 or 26. What kind of money should I expect to pay from a dealer for a 97 ish. model. Any other constructive thoughts appreciated. Please no wisecracks as I do actually like Bayliners !

Regards

Ian

I would have thought £22-£24000 for a 97 2655 Ciera. Don't just look at Aquatic, Shepherds may have some to shift.

Dont let anyone put you off.I had a 2755 and it done everything asked of it.Never let me down, nothing broke and took me all over the south coast in weather it should'nt have.It had a mercruiser 7.4 V8.Terrific engine if a tad thirsty!
Thanks for the advise on TP Fay,I've e mailed them this morning.
Regards, Al.

Thanks for the comments. Let me know how you get on with the element, I would be interested in the outcome as it is a reccomendation.
PS
Reccomendation does not look right. Sure that spelling is wrong!

Had a 2855 Ciera this year with diesel, brilliant boat there is'nt much Bayliner forget as standard! Its true, as I know from a previous experience they used to make some awful boats but these days they are extremely good value for money. The finish is good and the layout is practical, I can't be doing with all the snobbery that exists over some makes. The only reason I sold her was that I had a great offer and the chance to buy a larger Maxum.

Thanks for the comments Cliff. I have had a few minor niggles with our 1952 classic but not enough to put me off. I think the main thing is that Bayliner and certain other makes build with warmer/dryer climates in mind than Windermere. We had loads of problems with leaking windows.

They were very helpful and seem to have found one to fit,but still waiting for next day delivery, perhaps they know the usual time taken in boat matters!
