Chain & Rope Bridle

I am going to make up two 6mm s/s chain and 10mm 3 strand rope Bridles

What splice to use and why?

1. A close approximation to a Anchor Warps Splice
2. A eye splice through the end link of the chain
3. A back splice passing two strands through the end link of the chain in one
   direction and the other strand through the end link in the other direction

Are there any other options?

Mine are your No.3, as shown in a small book of knots and splices that I own. The strop has been used many times for attaching to buoys and on one occasion resisted a massive pull from a workboat when it was used to recover an anchor firmly wedged on the seabed.
