Catching an intruder on your boat

So let’s see:

We need a gadget on the boat that is activated when some 'oik' steps into the cockpit; it rings you and says "I'm being burgled", at the same time it sets off a bright light and the CCTV camera, the sign on the hatch needs to read "Look up and smile you are on CCTV" and finally an old Northen Lighthouse Board fog horn in the boat should they get passed all that.

Perhaps a new business opportunity for 2012

Very interesting. Anyone know what this means?

Bear Shock is not approved for food storage in the lower 48 states.

There is another version that is approved for what they term food storage see here:-

It is interesting to us (and I await howls of protest about going OTT) because we will be cruising in bear country. There was a very good article in Passagemaker magazine about a Grand Banks that dragged anchor in a thunderstorm squall and went stern too on the beach in the ICW. When towed off next morning the tow boat operator asked if they had bears bothering them in the night, as it was a common occurrence. I have made plans a) to switch anchor type and go bigger b) to have any burglar alarms switched on even when well out in the boon docks c) to sleep with an AK47. (That is a joke guys.....)
