Carrying petrol on board

With American beer you would benefit from keeping the ice & allow the beer to run away :p:o

Dead on-I would not have the Yank **** on my boat.
I drink Czech beer when I can get it-currently finishing a case of Pilsner Urquell-as the name suggests from Pilsen. My prefered choice is Staropramen or Radagast. Staropramen is a Prague beer and Radagast is from North Moravia-the Beskidy mountains near Ostrava.

All are top notch.

Both of those sound like stuff injected on an umbrella tip by KGB agents !

Why on earth would it be unwise to drink Czech beer? They invented Pilsner, which is the style that most generic world beer tends to ape, so they ought to be the experts.

Staropramen is reasonably widely available in pubs and bars; I haven't come across Radagast.

The Radagast brewery sponsored the Czech Olympic effort in 2004 IIRC-the team was not too sucessfull.

The sponsorship was for product only-they were all pissed!

Seriously, most Supermarkets have some Czech beers on the shelves. IMHO it is so superior to everyday stuff that it is all I buy.

Although last summer when out cruising and not in an easy position to find my favoured brews Peroni, Sol and Tuborg were reasonable substitutes.

Majestic stock proper Czech Budvar-ripped off by the Yanks as Budwieser-and Pilsner Urquell by the 24x330 case at just over £1.00 a bottle.

Tesco often have Staropramen at reasonable prices.

The world is your oyster............................
