A lot quicker and less expensive way to get into sailing than fitting out a bare hull, as your previous posting.

I had a cap horn from 1972 to 1979. They are fantastic if well made (double or triple diagonal glued). My club had a fleet of them in the 1960's. Mine had the centreboard removed and a deep keel fitted by a previous owner. Don't know much about the cb versions, only sailed one once in practically no wind. I could beat folkboats and contessa 26s and it had surprisingly good accommodation for its size, because of deck camber and sheerline. It had absolutely no vices when sailing and always felt absolutely safe in all winds (up to force 7). If I could find a good one, I would replace my present boat (UFO 27) with it. The French know a lot about designing small boats.
I think I have a report about one. Post a new message if you would like a copy.
