I have International Micron antifoul applied 1 year ago. I want to touch up a few areas. Am I likely to have any problems if I do the touch up with Hempel Mille NCT? I.e. the Hempel will cover the International Micron in places.

Imagine in this day and age getting a definitive answer!!.... pvb. You'll never make a politician. You're not supposed to give a direct answer. Haha.

Thanks everyone.

As a Surveyor - I was one the few that carried a pot of simple A/F to touch up my Meter spots ...

Unless it was a hard racing A/F ... there should not be a problem.

Of course International would prefer you do not use Hempel ... Jotun etc. .....

In 15 years in the Mediterranean I have hardly ever used the same antifouling twice. Various International types, one of them a very elderly tin bought second-hand, some cheap, some expensive, local Spanish and Greek ones. Not one has given any compatibility problems, except that one with Teflon was rather difficult to overcoat.

Also, little discernable difference in performance between any of them.

I've never had problems with over coating different makes but, did once have a problem in a tin when I mixed two different types of the same make. Turned out they used different thinners so went very lumpy and had to be chucked.

The products mentioned by the OP use the same thinners.
