I'd just like to see some specific reference to us, as evidence someone is doing something rather than telling us to "be conservative".
The ONS does random swab testing. Their last report (a week ago) put active infections at 1 in 1700, down from 1 in 400 a few weeks before, so things were definitely moving a good direction. The leading indicator is infection rates, but we don't have such a firm grip on that number due to testing numbers and many not being tested.
Did anyone else red the story of the 2 dumb ass women going back to NZ from the UK and starting the whole thing off again for them, due through their self-centred short-sightedness?
Where are we actually at now? The virus is basically everywhere in the country but mainly just killing the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions?
At this stage I'm getting to the point where death is starting to look preferable to the boredom and suffering from BSAS ... boat separation anxiety syndrome, made worse by being abandoned by the RYA. I'll need specialist therapy soon. May be book into a flotation tank.
That is unnecessary and rude. It has no place on a friendly forum. Please apologise. You really seem to be a very unpleasant person.

No, they were dumb asses because they went to see friends - thereby breaking the law, got lost driving to their parents, stopped to asked a stranger direction, gave them a hug and kiss, and then drove on. Oh, and lied about it until later. You really seem to be a very unpleasant person.
In view of post which prompted it, it seems to me to be both appropriate and remarkably temperate. That is unnecessary and rude. It has no place on a friendly forum. Please apologise.
Anyone know if we're going to be classed in with the campsites yet?
Or maybe they've closed it because they do't wish to expose their staff to risk?Marinas and boatyard were never on the list of places that we required by law to shut in the first place.
Rather bizarrely one of the harbour authorities on the East Coast has closed a visitor's pontoon which was previously available for short stays in the apparent belief that the regulations still require people to stay at home

If the trend is down, following a lagging indicator is a good strategy. Question though, is the trend really going down?I follow the Corona stats quite closely and it is notable that Johnson and pals place so much emphasis on the deaths figure which is well down ( e.g. Deaths in English Hospitals are now running at around 50/60 a day, compared to a peak of just short of 900), the problem is that deaths are a lagging indicator. The leading indicator is infection rates, but we don't have such a firm grip on that number due to testing numbers and many not being tested. What we do have a firm grip on is the number of hospital admissions with Covid and I noticed in the press briefing today that the admissions in the latest 24 hours were actually higher than the same day the week before. OK it's only one day but worth keeping an eye on the next few days.
