Camoël Nautic

Not used them but walked through the yard and it all seems OK. You may know there is also http://www.penestin.com/port-a-sec-...1d2ab-57d9-410f-ac51-ad5ac90a27d9/detail.aspx downstream of the lock. Personally, I find the service and value of Arzal Camöel marina hard to beat anywhere, not just on the Vilaine. Kept a boat there for 5 years.
I've only just seen your reply. Thanks for responding.

I drove round and had a look at the Penestin yard a few months ago and it is a dump, but Camöel Nautic looks better from photos.

However, I have since learned that it is not in the Passeport Escales scheme so that rules it out for me.

I too have kept my boat on the Vilaine for the last 5 years, although not at Arzal-Camöel.

Muti-Nautique at Foleux have a dry sail scheme (5 lift in/lift outs) that has the Passport Escale option. I used them for winter storage a couple of years ago and was happy. I'm planning to lift out there again this autumn.

Thanks, I had two years there.

The reason I am looking at possibilities outside the lock at Arzal is because additional lock closures in dry weather have caused me some inconvenience in the past and look set to increase. There are plans for a second lock at Arzal but it will probably be many years before it is operational.
