I want to install a calorifier on a HR352. Does anyone know where it should be sited & what size in litres?
The HR instruction book says it should be in the sail locker, i assume they mean the cockpit locker.
I can't measure the opening as the yacht is abroad. Any information would be appreciated.

The original-fit calorifier is a horizontal cylinder type, mounted in the engine compartment, on the starboard side, on the aft bulkhead. Access is via a removeable panel in the floor of the cockpit locker. The calorifier mountings are bolted through the bulkhead, into the area under the aft double berth.

I replaced the calorifier in my 352 about 3 years ago. I found that a Surecal 40 litre horizontal calorifier was the same size as the original calorifier.

Be warned - it is a horrible job, involving the sort of contortions which are normally associated with magicians' assistants and porn stars, and as I have no experience of either of those fields of work, I found it hard.

The pic shows the original calorifier, and will give you an idea of location.
