Every one. It's a weird setup and relates to elevated gas prices. In theory they wanted to allow for the volatility in pricing without changing their actual prices. Unfortunately it just irks customers as we feel ripped off at checkout. Cheaper than Campingaz still though.

Got two of these :( and a full 907 as well.
 
As they are promoting Campingaz as the alternative, the cynic in me wonders if profit might be a motive, as the price/Kg is several times higher,?

And on their web site in several places they use the words "reach out to a distributor". To me this sounds awful corporate cr4p speak; do they mean 'ask a distributor for advice'?
 
I have 3.9kg propane on bethfran, so looks like flogas from now on. My longbow has two 4.5kg butane cylinders in its gas locker, reckon I might just switch them to two 3.9 propane flogas ones while I’m at it.
For going to the med, is it worth switching to camping gaz?
 
So, they're appearing to offer to swop the 4.5kg for a 7kg bottle. Are they offering to refund the original hefty purchase price of the 4.5kg bottles if you don't want/can't use a 7kg bottle? (Let me guess. :rolleyes:)

I wonder, then, how I'll get on if I want to swap my empty 4.5kg bottles for empty 7kg bottles to avoid giving them yet more free money. :rolleyes:

I can imagine a surge in DIY gas bottle refilling (and possibly a few accidents) in the offing.

I might be missing something but all I could find on the Flogas website were clip-on regulators.

Are those clip on regulators "marine" in any way because there's probably a lot of boats that use a bulkhead mounted "marine" regulator with more than one permanently connected Calor cylinder.

I guess with Flogas you don't need to have two permanently connected cylinders if their regulator is clip-on.

Agree about the dimension questions asked because although Flogas say their 4.5kg butane is approx 340mm height, a post in another forum suggests they might be a bit taller.
 
My point was they aren't FloGas regulators, it's a standard gas fitting used internationally so you can almost certainly buy the clip on hose ends without regulator.

I’d presume that it would be possible to change the pigtail from the regulator to use a different connector. As it’s still butane the same regulator should be fine.

I initially thought the same but didn't manage to find the 21mm clip-on hoses... just regulators.
 
blimey that's an expensive "marine" sticker! I wonder what else they did to marinise it?

You didn't fancy sticking with the pigtails?
