cabin heating

Unless it is stipulated in the Policy it is not relevant. It is called a contract with clauses.

Of course it is different to the hoses attached to your engine.

One question to you.... Have you ever installed one of these heaters
Please tell us the exact stipulation your ‘contract with clauses’ states regarding the hoses for your engine.

Go to the next boatshow and see how many new boats have one fitted…that will answer your question:unsure:

Look the Non believer has arrived........ That would be the one that does not own one and has no first hand experience of one and stands in a room of 100 saying no when 99 People are saying yes. :ROFLMAO:

By all means follow his advice........ Why wouldn't you ..........

@Bigplumbs - what the non believer fails to see is that the boat builders aren't going to use a no name brand and that is one possible reason why he is a non believer.
I once carried out engineering work at a food factory and one production line was a well known brand getting churned out.
On the next line was a supermarket brand - Both exactly the same product.
Some may say that our non believer may have a touch of jealousy or snobbery.

As I have said earlier the only dangerous part of the Chinese and any other heater is the installer

Please be specific.
Easily a difference between Aldi and Branston beans :D

I think it is a terrible shame that "Chinese" is often used as a derogatory term. I have two, one in the boat and one in the shed. They are excellent and having stripped them down for cleaning, I can vouch that they are very well made. Eberspacher are taking the p**s with their prices.

Webasto was after setting up in China a few years ago and the guys involved went on to set up laverner allegedly
Wouldn't surprise me if they use a company already churning out the units.

What you fail to see is the obvious….threason they are not fitted is because they don’t come with the correct paperwork to prove thei integrity, just because a load of bargain hunters who post on a boating forum say they are good means nothing, nothing to do with me being a non believer, I have seen the facts to back up my views, i‘m sure the findings will be published sometime once the authors allow.
I work in boat building and believe me this has been looked at in detail and I have seen some reports from testing carried out, on what I’ve seen there is enough for me to say no thanks.
I love the way you all say the others cost so much more, well do you really think the Chinese would be selling them for £100 if they had paid for all the R & D to bring them to market ? of course it’s quite cheap for them to steal someone else’s design then mass produce while selling around the world with no comeback whatsoever.

Simple Question. Have you bought one your self and tried one

Didn’t buy one but was given one to test…so yes I have done the comparison.

exhaust temp goes way higher on the chinese heater.

Apart from the exhaust gas temp which I would agree is hot but I personally have nothing to compare with in that regard. Did you find any thing wrong with it. Apart from the exhaust and jubilee clips that we all know about
