There have been a number of posts about buying in USA. Anyone any experience or useful sugestions about buying in Singapore?

Basically, no difference. You have to adhere to the same VAT, customs duties and CE regulations as if you imported from the US. I cannot think of any reason why Singapore would be any different than the US (or any other non-EU country) as an originating country.

Its also forcast that sailing, marina complexes,and boaty things are set to boom in SE asia starting in Singapour
