I have just been told that to have my Bukh DV10 gearbox reconditioned will cost me more than £1000 as the coating has worn off from the cones. Any advice?
Who told you that? Have you spoken with Al or Norman at Bukh Ltd in Poole - they will give you the best deal, if one is going. Tell them I sent you - he said!
I'm sure the helpful guys at Bukh will sort you out, if not i know of someone with a DV 10 that he may be getting rid of. I'm sure the G/B is ok on it.
