Does anybody based on the Costa Brava know anywhere a boat can be dry stored on an annual basis and launched as required? I fancy a change of scene and been toying with the idea of relocating the boat for a couple of years. Any advise appreciated.

There are at least half a dozen companies that will store your boat in Empuriabrava. Unfortunately I don't have any names/contacts since I keep mine in the water all year around.
There are quite a few forumites with boats/property in Empuriabrava and I'm sure you will get a better reply (than this one!)
The main problem I see could be whether a berth is available for you when you do have the boat craned in. I think most people who use the service have property with own moorings.

Thanks for the reply David, my idea at present is to rent a villa with a mooring mainly they seem to be in Empuriabrava keeping away July and August I just need to plan my visits. Are berths available outside of peak season do you know?

Certainly a good idea to stay away in August and last two weeks of July.
The answer to any berth availability question in the Med is "Full" but in Empuriabrava there are many "unofficial" berths, ie blocks of flats with berths attached. I don't have any contacts but you could ask around. The problem would be that you won't have any shower/toilet facilities. Also try the official route while you are there, something might just come up.
There are bridges so when renting your apartment make sure that your boat will go under them. If your gantry folds down you will have no problems.
Great place and plenty of coves to explore by boat and car (it's often too choppy to go out) also the best restaurent in the world "El Bulli" voted for by international chefs. (2nd was the "Fat Duck" in the UK by the way).
best of luck
