I have some free tickets to the boat show and a three hour drive away.

I have no need to purchase anything but considering a visit just for a day out, what are peoples views?

Definitely worth a visit. I worked there last year for the first time helping a friend and will be doing the same this year. It was my first time and I really enjoyed it.

Very good coffee from the LandRover Coffee Shack directly opposite the Foredeck Stage. And a brilliant smile!
And the surprisingly cheap floating winch handles from Onward Marine/Ocean Hall J277.
And a collection of multiply-coloured freebie ballpoint pens.
And superb ice-cream from the Salcombe Icecream Wagon by the F005 exit/road crossing.

The first toilets are in the water sports area just inside the entrance, Not much further than M&S. Food options were very good inside the show this year too and not too overpriced. Beer £5.60 a pint which is the going rate in 2022 whether we like it or not so also not really overpriced unless comparing to Wetherspoon.

Yes toilets in show but I would much prefer an M&S sandwich for what passes as food inside the show which disappoint whenever tried.
You’re obviously picking the wrong options. Everything we tried was really good and everything we saw looked really good up to and including the lobster bar. Fresh cooked Stone baked pizza looked as good as any I’ve seen and the salt and pepper chicken made me consider a second lunch.

It's a long way to go, Reverend Father, for a bite o' lunch. Aren't there any half-way decent établissements that you'd pass along the way?

You used to be able to get a half decent lunch in the RYA lounge, is that still an option.
It was missing last year, and considering that SBS has withdrawn free entry for RYA members, a poor decision in my opinion, I don't expect the RYA lounge will be there this year.

If anybody could confirm if the RYA lounge is there this year I am happy to be corrected.
