A new member has sent me a private message regarding finding a boat. Obviously they do not wish to identified so I've posted for them:
---------------------
it reads:

Well first of all I would need at least 2 berths (for me and the wife) possibly room for one more, on occasions my son may want to join us. We both are not in the best of health so a bit of room would be a advantage. I think that we would want it on one of the Lakes in Cumbria, so I guess that it would have to stay there. I would need to know about training, safety equipment, running costs and some general info on buying a boat.
Does that help a little in giving a bit of advice?

----------------------------

apart from the obvious comment of go a look at loads of boats, I would try and stay with a mainstream manufacturer.

Better resale value, more chance of forum help and advice.

I guess between 26 and 30 ft would be best for the room and accomadation.

Hopfully our new forum member can see this post and add the value he has to spend and his thread can get going.

I think something may be going wrong here, because I go that one as well sent to me but addressed to a Fred. So any Fred's (Oldgit?) this could be for you or a windup as it arrived in the middle of the night.

exactly why I posted it. I thought it was strange and better shared in open.
