Aiming to start our epic voyage from Bray on Thames to Hythe this Friday (with a bit of help from Sun Coast) and I was wondering what documentation we should carry on board other than VHF licence etc ?

Proof of Age

I'm frequently stopped at the bar coz I look too young.

You'll need an appropriate set of ID Cards. The ones I find work best have a picture of teh Queen on one side, and Sir Edward Elgar on the other. They come in very handy for dealing with the natives, particularly when trading for alcohol.

<font color=blue>Nick! You really are a worry bunny. If (as you are) staying in UK waters you need no more than the usual documents than you would carry with you when you pop down the shops or travel up and down the Thames.

Re: Proof of Age

<font color=blue>Come come now Forbsie, thats not because the way you look its because the way you act, those short trousers, walking about with your thumb in your mouth and looking at the floor shyly when people speak to you.

Re: weather

Nick looks like Sun Coast has blessed the weather for yer trip. Ramsgate for Sat
East 11 mph (about 9.5knts) Sunday NE, 5mph so rounding headland from Dover should be coming off the land so should be slight seas fingers (crossed)
