I'm afraid I suffer a sense of humour failure bordering on sheer dismay whenever I see a boat called something utterly stupid like 'Aquaholic' (just like the three hundred others also called that) or 'Get Yer Fenders Out' or whatever!

With a neighbour and his wife First Mate and I went into a boatshare.
We bought an 18 foot plywood 2 berth cruiser with an Evinrude outboard.
We subscibed to Private Eye. Peter Cook had just given the failing Barry Humphris a cartoon deal. If you read Humphris biography it really did save his marriage and saved him from alcoholism.
The Eye ran weekly by Barry Humphris " The adventures of Barry McKenzie " a cartoon strip about an uncouth Aussie young man in London. His nickname was 'Bazza'
We named our new cruiser 'Bazza'.
Cruising slowly along the canalised Cherwell just past Kidlington two guys were on the towpath.
As we motored slowly past with a cheery wave one called " WHERE'S YER TECHNICOLOUR YAWN MATE? " in broad Aussie....................................
