Just about to fit the davits and I need some stainless nuts and bolts. Do I need 316? And who's best for online orders as the chandler is now miles away (how I miss Nigel at Faversham!)

Thanks for the suggestions.

A4 grade fixings (316 s/s)

I have previously got most of the ones I have used from chandlery world. They seem to have a good range, reasonably easy to navigate through the relevant sections of the website, at least when I last ordered were competitive.

you could also try a company called namrick also good.

Screwfix do some A4 bolts. Up in North Wales Huws Gray Fitlock have a fantastic name and even better range of A4 fastenings.

Yes I know it's not an answer to your post, but others from the North West may look & find the reference useful, and anyway I just like typing the name.

Another on line supplier not yet mentioned is Seascrew

And in answer to the question to the question "Do I need 316". Perhaps not vital but definitely preferable.

There is a useful discussion on stainless steel grades on the previously mentioned a2a4 website.
