Best mod iv\'e ever done

Fitted Webasto heating and the boat feels so much better. Worth every penny and not hard to fit.

Best mod I've ever done was making the aft bunk 15 cm wider. Sleeping became a whole new experience!

I suppose this is a best mod thread? ;-)

A bit before your time perhaps, but our best mod was a Decca repeater in the cockpit (circa 1990). No more going below every few minutes to check where I was.

Little deck clip to hold a teaspoon so it's always handy and you don't have to rummage in a drawer whilst the boat is trying to stand on her head.

I'm planning on fitting a boot jack. I've got one of those brass beetle things. Just need to work out where to fit it.

I thought this was going to be a biker v scooter thread.
I can remember a few mods getting "done" at Brighton & Clacton in the 60s

Re: Best mod iv\'e ever done

Thing I most appreciated was when we used a lappie for nav, and we connected a cheap TV (12v) to it with a long lead and positioned the tv on deck inside the windscreen so we had the chart on deck so we could watch it while pressing the autohelm buttons. (Often wondered what that wheel thing was for).

Fab for harbour approaches in poor vis or at night. So simple too. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
