Morning All

I need to seal the floor of my shower and need a very good, very flexible sealant. The base is a removable tray made of glass fiber and it is not sealed in any way around the edges.

Does any body have any recommendations, or should I just use a conventional flexible bathroom sealant?

At the moment some shower water is going to places it shouldn't. Please have a look at my next question :-(

Many thanks

Put a heavy weight on the bottom of the shower tray before you seal it (same as filling a bath with water before siliconing the edges).
CT1 or OB1 would be my choice. Just enough to seal lip edge to moulding - you may (ie will) need to remove the tray at some point - hence the weighing down.
I wouldn't apply OB1 or CT1 to the underneath of the lip - you might never get it up again!

I always use a Fugi to finish the bead.

Search YouTube for Fugi. Check out the video from 2010.

Do as they say and just do a short run at a time, running the Fugi over it each time. The sealant is at that point in it's best state and not gone off at all.

They're available at places like Toolstation.

Stixall. Available Amazon or Screwfix (as well as others). A poly sealer/adhesive, but not as aggressive as others (i.e Sikaflex or 4200). Also has pretty good elasticity, which may be useful for a shower tray. Available for about £6 a tube in clear, white or black to suit your fancy.
