Berth 101

Very good - love the concept!

1) Bow fenders which scream "I'm out of control"

2) Any accessory for a boat hook designed to knit-one-pearl-one a mooring buoy or cleat

3) Pink 'Chichester' trousers

Oi, I've just fitted a pair of dodgers.

Mind you, know where you're coming from. A boat looks cleaner without them. Bollx, guess they're on their way to berth 101...

You've obviously haven't sailed my last couple of boats. I can't stand the extra windage and visibility loss from dodgers so I've got well used to the chunk of spray over my back and head when reaching at speed.

My 3:
Anchors that protrude over pontoons

Chartplotters (for anyone who'd be lost without one)

- The volvo penta spares pricing department
- The keel from a Bavaria Match 42
- any windlass more than about 5 years old

Those weird knocks and noises you imagine hearing when running 1,2 and 3 cylinder diesels on yachts. The sounds you think are the engine breaking off the mounts and actually spinning around in the engine bays.

All old sheets to stop people tying their £40k+ yachts up with.

Twin helms on sub 60ft yachts with big carbon fibre look wheels, they look more like aft fitted clothes mangles than anything useful.

marinas with housing developments, shopping malls and public veiwing areas.

fishermen who lay poorly marked pots
