I almost got splashed looking at the picture! I like the definition and detail of the water, especially aft of the jib slot where the wind can be noticed; it evokes sentiments of sailing.

I've got two of those stringy things on my newly acquired jib,what are they supposed to do?I can see myself falling overboard leaning round the side of the boat trying to find out what they are up to
& as for trying to heave the anchor over board using that piss poor excuse for a bow roller Seahorse friendly?

Nah. Your sail wants washing. Then you can see them through the sail like in the picture.
If you want to look like a really good sailor just glue them straight back so you will always seem to be correctly trimmed.
