Barbican 30

I am going to look at a Barbican 30 next week. I know it's a development of the halmatic 30 but with internal ballast, I'm not sure if the ballast is lead or iron. Does anybody have any advice on things to look out for on these boats?

Barbican Yachts generally did a very nice quality fitout, but not all were identical: have seen at least one boat supposedly a Barbican fitout that looked not as good quality.

I’ve no direct experience of the Barbican 30 but I used to have a Halmatic 30 and loved it. The only weakness I found was in the chainplate attachment but I would hope the Barbican had that resolved.

Congrats! If it’s anything like a Halmatic 30 it’ll be a very fine boat indeed. Sail on my mates a fair bit - excellent boats.

Barbican often seem to have green hulls Which might be a concern but they always seem a solid boat.enjoy and maybe post a few pictures of any work you undertake.
