I have a 26' yacht to sell. 9 months has now passed , no luck.

So best go to Auction - how do they work, and what options do I have?

If it's been 9 months, frankly you may be asking too much.

Ebay is a good leveller. Either start the bidding at 99p and let it go from there or set the price at the lowest you could possibly consider letting it go for and seeing if anyone bites and bids.

Ive done the 99p way twice. One went very well with two enthusiastic bidders but one still smarts (but got the subsequent boat very cheap too, so all levels out).

Major tip would be to move sure the auction ends in the evening, not some obscure time when people may be at work!

Yes I should think eBay would be best. There's a much bigger pool of potential buyers.

I agree with Scruff about ending it in the evening. I usually end mine on Sunday evening on the assumption that most people are at home then
