I have recently purchased a 33ft Legend Sailing Yacht. I would like to be able to attach my Jet Ski onto the boat in some way... would be extremely grateful if anyone has any tips or suggestions on the best way to achieve this (in the most practical way!) Many thanks in advance. Martin

Suggest you put your boat on a boat hoist, lift out, run the jet ski underneath then lower the boat. Should give a very satisfactory 'attachment'!

Martin I'm sure you'll be forgiven this gaff because you are new to this, but believe me writing about jet skis and yachts in the same posting is akin to see a pile of sloppy dog poo on the new lounge carpet!! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I can't remember what shape stern/transom the Legend has.
I'd have thought that either a pair of normal davits would be a possible solution but better still try Weaver Snap Davits - google the name if you don't know what they are. If they will fit then they are very convenient to use.

And yes, you are being brave mentioning Jet Skis on this forum /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Doesn't worry me of course cos I'm a mobo person as well as an occasional sailor - depends on whether I want to go anywhere or not /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

wont work.

The boat does not have enough buoyancy at the stern to be able to cope with the weight. If you decide to go ahead anyway, you will severely affect the handling of the vessel, and will also have a major impact on the stability

the yacht is much narrower than the length of the jet ski, so you would need to lift it a very long way up, particularly to keep it clear of the wake when closehauled.
lifting up fore and aft is not feasible.

If you must have a jet ski! tow it, (and risk losing it in bad weather) or upgrade to something that could cope, such as a mobo, or even a big cat.

G'day Mark,

Make that a "Very" big cat, because cats don't like weight at all let alone a bit more on the duck board.

Avagoodweekend......

I have a L33............and friends have Jetski's (which can be used considerately!) - I can't imagine how you would attach the Jetski to the boat - its simply too big and heavy for that size of boat. Can be towed when its calm though.

Perhaps you could park it on this and then tow the whole lot?

I'm not sure your yacht would be as fast as before, though.
