ATN spi tacker

Does anybody have experience with the ATN spi tacker ?
Reading its working for a asymmetric spinnaker but wondering if this is working ad well for symmetric spi.

No personal experience, but I'd doubt it would work for the following reasons:_

1. Asymmetric, has only 2 sheets, spinnaker an additional set of guys.
2. You have to gybe, not tack with a spinnaker.

Though I sail single handed I use both though my asymmetric is a reaching sail with its foot about 1.2m ahead on the stem and both are only 860ft2.

Although I'm an amateur but I don't think so.
I was looking for more infos about it myself and I've found this:

Attach the spinnaker bag to the front balcony thanks of the karabiners. Set the spinnaker pull in place with tack sheet going through it. Attach three conrners (halyard, clew, Tack) very carefully, check the inscription on the spinnaker. Start with hoisting the sail with the halyard, make sure to sail the boat completely off wind so the main sail will cut the wind of the spinnaker. When the spi is totally hoisted, pull the tack sheet while sailing slightly upwind. Then pull on the clew sheet till the spi is totally flying. To collapse: the easiest way to collapse is to put back the bag in the cockpit, ideally at the entrance of the cabin, then sail completely off wind, relase the tack sheet and pull directly on the clew sheet when the spi is behind the main, then release the halyard while taking the spi back in the bag. TIP:make sure to have the 3 corners visible on top of the bag when you de-rig the sheets and halyard.

As for the Tacker, they usually say what is it for in spinnaker websites. E.g. : Tacker for spi

forgive my terminology but - It can allow you to fly a symmetric Spinnaker like an Asymmetric, but obviously on certain angles of wind a pole & spinnaker will give you more power

"Designed for the asymmetrical spinnaker, the inexpensive Tacker allows you to fly a conventional (symmetrical) spinnaker without a spinnaker pole, like an asymmetrical spinnaker, (commonly known as a cruising chute/gennaker, MPS). The patented Tacker holds the spinnaker tack close to the centerline of the boat by sliding over the furled headsail and can be adjusted up and down with the downhaul/tack line.

It prevents chafing the tack line on the lifelines, bending stanchions and gives you maximum control over the luff of the spinnaker. i indeed have a symmetrical spinnaker i have rigged the said device up for, flew ok on the deck, not tried it sailing yet due to wind playing its usual games and time to get out on the water.

but here is a picture of someone doing the same

to note though, without a spinnaker pole to hold the leading edge out away from the mast it will not run from the wind very well at all. Certainly not the same as a symmetric with spinnaker on a pole anyway!

I'd be concerned about it taking my forestay out, when close reaching with a spinnaker pole keeping the weight from the guy off the forestay was a significant consideration.
