Atlanta 27 Anybody have any views?

I've got a mate with a wide beam 27' and the Norman boats website is a great source of information , what do you need to know

I took a peek at that Atlanta, nice looking thing indeed!

Very similar in layout to the much loved Fairline Mirage 29, with separate front V berth, rather nice pullman dinette with additional seating to the side, and pleasant rear cockpit.

That particular Volvo engine, despite being Petrol is a very robust unit, based on the Volvo 140/240 cars, and they lasted forever in those! Our old Birchwood 25 was petrol, but an older design of OHV Ford Crossflow engine, not in the same league as the Volvo, and we never had an issue with fuel supply or economy (Unlike some of the silly V8's kicking around on the Thames!)

Looks like a very well planned and kitted-out boat overall, which will do anything you need to!

Hope it goes well, can't wait to see you out and about... :D

Plus you could do the narrow northern canals if you wanted to go that far and chug along a ditch.:)

edit: If it is a narrowbeam that is.

we are all a little excited, just need to crunch some numbers and make it happen now... Think we may have said hello to each other on Saturday too... must meet up soon. Looking forward to getting involved in the club too. Best to all. Scott
