Jabsco pump and calorifier pipe replacement

Hi.
I am having to replace very, very old domestic water pipes (25 years old) which have gone as hard as concrete and I want to still use pvc pipes as there are no easy straight runs to use the semi-rigid pushfit style.
Jabsco pumps say 1/2" or 13mm pipes as does the calorifier and various taps and shower mixer connectors.
It has been suggested that I use 12.5mm ID hose and not 13mm as it is likely to be a more secure fit - especially where there are inline T connectors.
I know it may need gentle warming to get onto stubborn 13mm barbs.
Any views?

I replaced mine with 13mm ID when I did plumbing work and added noise suppression loops either side of the pump.

Beneteau had used one of those prebuilt pump and manifold boards with short lengths of rigid piping which is against Jabsco own recommendation for connecting their pumps!

15mm Speedfit pipe has a min bend radius of 175mm (about 7 inches) without using formers. This isn't practical getting around a boat, particularly if it's a refit rather than a shell.

If you've ever fitted underfloor heating, you'll know what I mean.

There are a couple of connections which are weeping. Hose is so hard that it cannot be nipped up slightly.

I have just fitted a calorifier, pressurised water pump and two mixer taps for someone on a yacht that previously just had foot pumps and used 15mm JG speedfit push fit connectors and pipe. It was very easy to use as long as clips are used to secure in place had no issues.

It looks like the 12.5mm was a bit of a red herring - it's surprising hiw many stock that size.

Today I had a closer look at pipe routing and if I were to use speed fit pipes, I would still need a mix with reinforced pvc so bearing in mind fittings and adaptors I am leaning towards a full reinforced PVC solution.

Pretty sure most of the pumps etc barbed fittings are 1/2”. I used flexis with isolators at some of the connections too making it a lot easier as the calorifier, expansion vessel and pressure pump were in a tight space

Thanks - the slight confusion arises when 1/2" equivalent is said to be anything from 12mm, 12.5mm and 13mm ! I remember that I had to replace the hose from my water tank to the pump and 13mm onto the tank 1/2" needed 2 clips as a small amount of air was getting sucked into the system.
