We are taking some friends out for a Spring cruise on Sunday 13th, and would love to meet any other forumites who are out and about!

Let us know then, I have a habit of missing people.... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Will be nice to put a face to a name /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I am hoping to be out and about with "Carli" that weekend.

The Ebersplutter that has never worked has just had a new control module fitted (old module had an unclearable fault code AF09).

So I have a bill of £322.42 and a heater to refit to the boat tomorrow.

When they had it running on test you could smell the protective coating burning off (like on a new exhaust). Further proof that it has never worked since installation!

Hope to see you out and about on the weekend of 13th, if not at the TVR on 3rd to 5th May.

I shall be heading down to Reading on the 13th, i'm being lifted out on the 14th at Caversham. Will then be busy antifouling and polishing for the next few days, so if your passing give us wave, better still if your handy with a brush? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Will any of you have VHF switched on?

Only if I dig it out the locker and connect it /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Ebersplutter fitted and working at long last! Loads of heat both in the cockpit and the cabin. Sheer bloody luxury!

They don't work. Never have, never will. You're better of with a pair of mittens and a candle. Yes, since you ask, I am trying to find a good one on eBay... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh yes,

Eberspacher working, hot summer guaranteed
Eberspacher knackered, freezing summer due.

Odd things. if I have mine on full welly, themostat set to toasty, vaguely warmish air blasts out of the vents. If I turn the stat down, blistering air trickles out wiht the impact of a mouse breaking wind discreetly. Its the control box I gather.

You had better hope its not. An Eberspacher D2 control box is about £249 + vat. (That is the "brains" inside the heater).

Maybe it just needs a clean & service.

I went to Transport Maintenance in Wood Green Village near Guildford.

They work on all sorts of vehicles including ambulances and prison vans.

The guys are very friendly and helpful but massively busy, in fact you need to ring up to make sure they are there if you need to speak to them face to face, although you can leave the heater with them and pick it up when it is done of course.

They will visit and work on boats, but obviously you have to pay for their travelling time etc. Best bet is to take the heater off the boat ( its only 2 big pipes, 2 little pipes , a fuel line & a multiplug) and drop it in to them.

What a great day!

We left T&K at 11:30 and went through Henley in beautiful sunshine, stopped for lunch while it rained, and had a fair run back in mixed conditions.

The Birchwood is great when it rains, with the Wipers (Effective for once!) and spacious cockpit with Glass windows and hard-top. The sunroof was open most of the day /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Even the Swans wanted to come aboard...

Nice photo /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I am glad you had a nice run. We had great fun yesterday, though there were very few boats out... a lock to ourselves:

Similar here!

Why the hell do people pay so much for a Boat, and moorings, and never use 'em /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Yet they don't stop moaning about the price of it?? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
