Yes.
Have obtained tacit approval for just one (out of three remaining) boat project this winter.
Will be shopping around for the best deal available.
Shall probably be visiting the second WE - when I think deals are more likely (and sales targets not yet hit).

planning on going on preview day, 12th as other commitments mean I can't do it any other day. looking at anchor windlasses.

Manual or electric?

It'll defo be electric, I'm getting too old and lazy to go manual. As Pioneer is only a small boat with a short anchor locker I'm looking at Horizontal type. So far 3 seem to fit the bill, the Lofrans Atlas, but it's 600w so may be overpowered + Lofrans seem to be in disarray according to some posters around April this year. Then there is the Lewmar Pro series, there's the ProSport at 150W which could be a bit weedy or the Pro700 at 500w and finally the Quick GP Mini at 150W or 250W. It'll be interesting to see what the various experts have to say about how close the max pull has to be to the working pull. I've got 90 feet of 5/16" chain with a 19.5lb cqr type anchor and want to keep things much the same although a drop to 7mm chain will be ok. I also want wireless control.

Am also looking to go electric, for the same reasons.
The one that ticks most of the boxes is the Lofrans Tigres. But am hesitant to part with the past part of 1K for a Lofrans product.
Like you, I have heard 'not so favourable' comments about Lofrans.
