Well fix the Eber and insert your luxury of choice (with due deference to Desert Island Discs).
What you need Jimi is a range of places to go to match the weather. We have at least 9 watering holes to be brought into use above F6. 18 or 19 more for good weather within 1 days sail.
Not many mountains round here though.
Besides, can you stand the thought of giving 8% of your sale price to some bloke in a hut full of fading photographs?
Unfortunately, most of the 'sunnier climes' have been having crap weather this year too.
It's been windy and wet on the Bay, but warm by Brit standards - a cruising location with plenty of good watering holes is the way to go in unsettled weather. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Admitidly its our first season with our own boat, and this may put a rosy glow on things , but since we moved her from Kip to Dunstaffnage in the middle of april ( on a stunning weekend) we have used her almost every weekend since then. Usually having to resort to factor 50 to avoid burn't coupons. April and May were fab, except for a c**p weekend on the clyde in late may with high winds. We spent the last week of June sailing from Oban to Islay and back, 2 fab sunny days, 2 overcast , 2 driech, not bad for a week on the west coast! At least its windy !
I'm with you. Starting my cruise the 23rd up here, and am confident of better weather. The northern high summer has been moving to august for years so have good hope!
